A Coherent Integration Segment Searching Based GRT-GRFT Hybrid Integration Method for Arbitrary Fluctuating Target

Long-time integration is an effective method for improving the signal–to–noise ratio (SNR) of echo. However, if target radar cross-section (RCS) fluctuates over long time, traditional coherent and noncoherent methods will produce significant performance losses, making it impossible to achieve a favorable at low SNRs. This study proposes new hybrid based on generalized Radon–Fourier transform (GRFT) Radon (GRT) targets with which echoes are partially coherent. First, performed GRFT within optimal processing segment using segmented matching. Then, GRT used between sections, motion parameters obtained through global search. Compared GRFT, GRT, moving detection (MTD)-GRT methods, proposed applies arbitrary RCS fluctuations, cross-range cells, cross-Doppler offers best performance. Finally, both simulation results measured data demonstrate effectiveness algorithm.
